How does the frequency market work?
The frequency market (flexibility market) is part of the electricity system that keeps the grid frequency at 50 Hz. When production and consumption go out of balance, connected devices automatically reduce or increase their consumption/production and are paid for this.
Companies and individuals with controllable assets, such as batteries, solar and wind parks or other large consumers, can join. When your system is connected to the Volton platform, devices adapt themselves to grid needs, earn additional income and help keep the electricity system stable, without changing your daily energy use.
